“I need to schedule a visit. What’s next?”
Appointment requests are to be scheduled on our website. Upon booking, a $50 deposit is required (unless arrangements have been made otherwise.) This will be deducted from the total cost of the service you’ve booked, the remainder of which will be due 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you no-show or cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, this charge will not be refunded.
Self pay/out of network
The $50 deposit will be collected when you submit your appointment request. Within 1 business day I will reach out to you in order to confirm your appointment. You’ll then receive an e-mail with the necessary forms to be completed 24 hours before your appointment, as well as a secure pay-link for the remaining balance. If the remaining balance is unpaid the day of your appointment, I’ll reach out to confirm that you’d still like to proceed with the appointment and payment will be due at that time. If the appointment is canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, the $50 deposit will not be refunded. After the appointment a superbill will be provided upon request. You are responsible for submitting the superbill to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Travel fees are not covered by insurance. If you are within my 45 minute radius service area no travel fee will apply. If you are outside that service area, we will talk about travel fees when I confirm your appointment.
The Lactation Network
The Lactation Network (TLN) is essentially a “middle man” who contracts with select insurance companies to allow in-home and telehealth lactation care without you having the hassle of dealing with insurance reimbursement. They pay all IBCLCs the same flat-rate, then they receive payment from the insurance at whatever rate the insurance currently pays for the services provided. You are likely to receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) in the mail after your lactation visit. Understand that THIS IS NOT A BILL and you will not owe the amount on the EOB (yes, even if it says “you may owe $$$” Trust me!). If you’re in-network via TLN the $50 deposit will be refunded after your visit.
TLN agrees to cover 6 visits (including prenatal), but may cover additional visits when necessary.

Financial Hardships
I firmly believe that finances should never be a barrier to receiving care. I currently allow space for one pro-bono (no cost) consultation per month, as well as offering payment arrangements when necessary. Please do not go without care due to finances. It is my life’s mission and my heart’s desire to provide care to my community regardless of socioeconomic status. Reach out to me via call, text or email and we will make a plan that works for you.
Follow-up
Initial visits include 2 weeks of follow up via secure messaging, text, phone call or email related to your care plan. If new or complex issues arise that require more in-depth investigation, a follow up visit will be suggested to ensure that you’re receiving the best care. I also offer additional chat/phone support as an add-on service.
